My experience with Rona was God driven from the very beginning. I prayed and prayed to find the right loctician to begin my Sisterlocks® journey. Knowing that this journey is a HUGE commitment, I had tons of questions and Rona was readily available to answer each one (at 4 in the morning I might add). On top of that, I am a new mom with a husband whose schedule fluctuates almost monthly. Rona was able to adjust her schedule for me. I am so grateful for that. During my installment she made me feel at home and maybe too comfortable, lol. Rona’s spirit is so warm and she takes the fear out of one of the most beautiful decisions you will ever make in your life: establishing Sisterlocks®. All in all, I’m not going anywhere else. Rona is my loctician until Jesus comes.

I located Rona on the Sisterlocks® website. I started following her page on Instagram. I started researching in January while deployed with the CDC at Travis AFB. That’s when I realized traditional locs was not working for me. I was a year in with traditional locks. I contacted Rona in March of 2020 right when Covid hit. I was fed up and wanted more flexibility with my hair. From the first conversation Rona provided guidance on my transition. I sent pictures and she told me that once I took my locks down to wait a couple of weeks to have a consultation so she could see if my hair was healthy enough for Sisterlocks®. My appointment was set for April 19, 2020. I was cheesing so big! April 19, 2020 my installation began and I have been in love ever since. Almost a year later and I am still on cloud 9. The only changes I would make is doing Sisterlocks® earlier. Rona Barnes is heaven sent, patient and a caregiver…not about a fee but about your hair.
